This project is dedicated to our father and grandfather, Allan C. Borglum.

Allan Borglum never stopped dreaming of new and improved designs and projects.

We feel Allan’s presence in our hearts as we pursue this dream of ours.

We hear Allan’s voice in our head as we ponder a seemingly unobtainable goal.

We see his hardworking hands as we turn the wrenches.

Thank you, Dad and Grandfather for guiding us and inspiring us every day.

History - Hot Rod Deuce

Our Hot Rod Deuce was our first “out of the box” project with military vehicles. Our Army “Deuce and A Half” was purchased using the proceeds from the sale of a snowmobile. She was a little worse for wear, but still a respectable and a proud Army surplus truck.

First order of business was to replace and repair the little dings and missing parts. An engine swap was performed, and some updates installed. Once she was road worthy, she was taken on many a young man’s magical mystery tours. She proved to be an object of interest and desire by those who shared in the wonder of Army trucks. Her appearance in a popular four wheel truck magazine proved she was indeed a cover girl.

The deuce and half also did something we didn’t expect. Whenever someone climbed in for a ride or a drive, smiles would appear on the faces of the occupants of the cab. Now, we thought, how could we bring that magic to more people at the same time?

The Borglum design gene shifted into a higher gear and away we went in search of a donor cadaver. Another deuce and a half was found a few states away and it was sacrificed to add more passenger capacity.

After a few months of drawings on napkins, staring at the deuce and a half, buying bigger tires, cutting, sawing, welding, cursing, sweating and hours of parts searching, a new, beautiful gal was born.

Dubbed “Hot Rod Deuce”, she is a full crew cab, longer, taller and possibly able to leap small cars in a single bound. Able to carry more people, the smiles per mile increased over 100%, and the fascination and admiration & appreciation for all things camo colored began.
