The P90 is a compact personal defense weapon, also known as a PDW, that was designed to replace 9x19mm Parabellum firearms. Compact yet powerful, the P90 has been effective for vehicle crews, support personnel, special forces, and counter-terrorist groups. While development started in 1986, production began later in 1990 which is where the “90” in the name comes from and when the ammunition was redesigned and shortened.
Featuring a bullpup design, the P90 has an integrated reflex sight and fully ambidextrous controls giving it a futuristic look. It incorporates several modern designs such as a top-mounted magazine and the small-caliber high velocity 5.7x28mm ammunition. A straight blowback, selective fire weapon, the P90 has a cyclic rate of fire of 900 rounds per minute. It is currently in use with military and police forces around the world.
